Tengo una entrevista y ahora que debo preguntar?

Después de haber hecho casi mil entrevistas y hablar con una amiga que apenas va iniciando el proceso decidí hacer una entrada sobre las posibles preguntas que se pueden hacer cuando y como hacerlas.

Para ver si a algunas les puede ayudar durante su proceso hice una recopilación de todas las preguntas que he hecho.

Para la primera entrevista creo que se debe preguntar de los niños, de la familia y todas las cosas relacionadas con ellos (esto demuestra interés en ellos):

• How many children do you have?
• How many children I have to take care?
• Could describe me the personalities of your children?
• How is the routine of your children?

·         How is your children's schedule?

• Are going your children to school? Pre-school? Day Care? Everyday?
• Are they doing some activities after school?
• Do you want that I teach your children Spanish?
• What kind of activities can I do with your children outside?
• How do you discipline your children? 
• Are you using Time Out with the kids?
• What kind of food are eating your children?
• They have allergies? What kind of allergies
• Could you describe me your family?
• What kind of activities do you like to do in your free time? 
• Are you going out on weekend or you prefer stay at home?
• Do you have any pet? How many? Take care of the pets will be part of my responsibilities?
• Which is your religion?
• It is a problem if my religion is not the same?
• How is the routine in your family?
• Are you doing activities on the weekend? What do you usually do?

Segunda entevista, ya conoces un poco más de ellos de los niños forma de pensar de la familia como es su vida., ahora puedes preguntar sobre tus responsabilidades, como sería tu vida allá, porque decidieron estar en el programa.

·         Why did you decide to do the Au Pair Program?

·         Why did you consider my application?

·         Have you had an Au Pair/ Babysitter or Nanny before? Tell me about your experiences with them.

·         What is the most important charasteristic an au pair should have to work well with your children?

·         How's your daily schedule?

·          What special dates do you celebrate?

·          What are you expecting from this experience?  

·         What kind of activities would you like me to do with the kids?

·         Could you describe me a normal day like an Au Pair?

·         What kind of activities do you like to do together? What about your typical weekend as a family? What do you like to do on Sundays?

·         Could you describe my duties?

·         Do I have to do the laundry? Iron?

·         Do I have to cook for the children?

·         Do I have to take care pets?

·         Do I have to drive with the kids? What kind of Auto? When and where? How far?

·         How much hours do I have to work?

·         Do you have a specific routine or it will be change every day?

·         When will be begin my day? and finish?

·         Do I have to work on weekends?

·         If I have to do extra hours

·         Do you have videocamaras at home? In what parts of your houses?

·         Did you have another Au Pair before?

·         How was your experience?

·         Did you have any problems with an Au Pair? How did you solve it?

·         Can I talk with your current Au Pair?

·         Are you living in a city on in a suburb?

·         How is the weather in your town? 

·         Are there any Colleges where I can do my credits?

·         How will I go to College?

·         How is the public transportation in your area?

·         It is the city near? how can I go? 

Tercera entrevista, cuando estas casí segura de hacer match (Nota curiosa: solo me ha pasado como tres veces)

• Could you describe how will be my room? Where?
• Could I see some pictures of my room?
• Will I have TV?
• Will I have my own bathroom or I have to share it with the kids?
• Can I receive visits at home? For example, another Au Pair?
• It is ok if my family come to visit me?
• Which will be my free time?
• What can I do in my free time?
• Will I have curfew? When? Weeknights or Weekend?
• For a special occasion could you do an exception?
• Can I travel on weekends?
• Can I join your family in my free time?
• Can I practice any Sport?
• Can I stay at friend on weekends?
• Can I use your car in my free time? Do you curfew for the car?
• It will be difficult for your children when she leaves?
• Could she help me with the transition? 
• Will I meet her? Will she help me to learn your routine and know your children?
• How spent she her free time there?
• Another Au Pairs are living in the near?

Por fin hicieron match y no saben que más necesitan saber.

·         Will I have my own cell phone?

·         Preguntar acerca de las reglas de la casa con más detalle. Reglas relacionadas a:

·         El uso de la computadora, celular

·         El uso de lugares/artefactos de la casa (TV, teléfono)

·         When are your birthdays?

·          When are your summer vacations?

·          Do you have days off?

·          What specific activities are you expecting me to do with the kids? 

 Con estas preguntas no quiere decir que las deban hacer todas, pero si pueden tomar las que ustedes crean que son más importantes.
